The European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities—who are a source of enrichment for our Group and for society—took place between November 16 and 22, 2020.
True to its commitments, Armonia has a human resources policy dedicated to promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities. Today, more than 250 employees work with us across all of Grupo Armonia's brands.
To mark this 24th edition of SEEPH (Spanish Society for the Promotion of Human Rights), the group's Disability Mission created specific initiatives that marked the entire week.
These are some of the initiatives undertaken by the Group:
Phone Régie: Overcoming Challenges to Help
"Overcoming challenges to help" is the motto of Maguy Bastien, Agency Manager for Phone Régie in Ryan, who presented her human adventure project to the Disability Solidarity Mission. From February 28 to March 6, 2020, Maguy Bastien, accompanied by her sister, accepted the challenge of an all-female trek in the Moroccan desert: a 25 km daily march for a week of solidarity action.
Cultivating a spirit of mutual support, self-improvement, perseverance, and solidarity, this project transcends the definition of disability.
Facilitess: Happy Coffee
Facilitess has launched a partnership with Happy Coffee on the Champs-Élysées, the first chain of cafes and restaurants to train and employ people with intellectual disabilities, providing cups of happiness for their staff.
The profits from these products will go towards opening new cafes and restaurants. By drinking Happy Coffee, Facilitess makes a gesture of solidarity, demonstrating its confidence in people with disabilities and offering them the opportunity to enter the workforce.
Côme & Oxila
"I've been working at Côme for five years. After a long absence due to health problems, my manager has shown great understanding and a willingness to listen. Thanks to the Disability Solidarity program, I've received advice and assistance with administrative procedures, completing my application, and submitting it to the MDPH (Municipal Directorate of Public Health). This personalized support has given me confidence and made it easier for me to return to active life."
"I've been working at Côme for five years. After a long absence due to health issues, my manager has shown great understanding and a willingness to listen." Geneviève, General Services Manager
"Hello, my name is Elliot, I'm 20 years old and a graduate of a vocational training program in Negotiation and Customer Relations. Today, I had the opportunity to visit Grupo Armonia, specifically the companies Oxila and Phone Régie, to learn about the specialties of reception and hospitality. I spent a day with two Oxila employees working as receptionists at a consulting firm. These professions are very versatile, accessible, and offer a wealth of human interaction. I loved this exchange and learning experience. Thank you so much for this opportunity."
